The ND Department of Mineral Resources is seeking a fulltime Public Information Specialist II to develop internal, external, and online communication; presentations; and outreach and engagement opportunities, to promote the impacts of the agency.As a Public Information Specialist II, you'll assist in leading the agency's internal and external communications, marketing, and digital strategies. You will be responsible for development of messaging and content across multiple platforms, including web and social, collateral materials, video and presentations.You will also play a role in collaboration with leadership on brand management and engagement. Plan, develop and coordinate outreach and engagement opportunities for agency staff; to include classroom presentations, workforce recruitment opportunities, oil and gas community events, and other conferences and seminars. Create content for social media and podcastsRegularly create, review, and edit content on the Department of Mineral Resources web pages.Draft and distribute public information products in consultation with management and program staff.Coordinate live streamed events tailored to public audiences such as "The Directors Cut" - a monthly press briefing provided by the Department and published across various platforms.Schedule media appearances, presentations, and meetings for members of staff.Prepare press releases for significant agency events such as incident notifications, or availability of new publications.Create and maintain a public information archive consisting of presentations, video, and print media created by Department personnel.Monitor local, state, national and international media for agency related interests.Assist in preparing legislative testimony and legislative bill tracking. For more information visit Team ND Benefits | Office of Management and Budget North DakotaMinimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Journalism, English, Communications, Public Relations, or a closely related field, and three years of related professional work experience as described above Related work experience can substitute for the education requirement on a year-for-year basis.Desired Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Include: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Experience in web digital content management and/or user experience. Proven success executing marketing and communication strategies and responding to media inquiriesExcellent interpersonal skills and experience with internal team member or external stakeholdersExperience in a natural resources field and/or the energy industry.Experience with Microsoft software (PowerPoint, Publisher, Word, Excel, etc.) and Adobe Suite Hiring Salary Range: $51,456 - $68,604 annually ($4,288 - $5,717 monthly).Location: Bismarck, NDApplication ProceduresApplicants are required to complete an online application via the State of ND Careers site: www.nd.gov/careers by 11:59 p.m. on the closing date.
