Temporary shoulder closures are scheduled to begin Monday, April 14, on Interstate 94 and Interstate 29 in Fargo as crews begin work to upgrade fiber optic infrastructure along the corridors.

FARGO, N.D. –The North Dakota Department of Transportation is scheduled to sweep interstate barrier walls to remove sand and small debris Monday, April 14. Inside lanes will be closed during this maintenance project and drivers should expect short delays.

The Interstate 94 Exit 161 Interchange project marks a major milestone as crews prepare to install the steel girders for the new bridge. This critical phase of construction will require a series of lane closures on I-94 near Exit 161, expected to last two to three weeks.

The City of Dickinson will host a public input meeting Monday, April 7, from 4 to 6 p.m. MT to discuss proposed improvements to 5th Street Southeast from South Main Avenue to 6th Avenue Southeast.

The meeting will be held at City Hall located at 38 1st St. W, Dickinson, ND. There will be an open house format.

The North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) will host a public input meeting Monday, March 31, from 5 to 7 p.m. to discuss proposed improvements to the intersection of US 83 and ND 23. 

Westbound Interstate 94 Exit 156 will temporarily close Monday, March 31, for guardrail repairs.

The work is expected to take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should use an alternate route during this time frame. 

The North Dakota Department of Transportation will initiate a series of lane closures on Centennial Road/Bismarck Expressway in early April to support ongoing work for the I-94 Interchange (Exit 161) Reconstruction project. These closures are essential to maintain traffic flow as the project progresses.

Starting Tuesday, April 1, 19th Street Southeast in Mandan will be temporarily closed from 43rd Avenue Southeast to 46th Avenue Southeast to allow construction crews to install a new storm sewer system, which is part of the Memorial Highway Reconstruction project. 

The North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) is ramping up construction at the I-94 Exit 161 interchange. This construction season, crews will focus on building a new bridge, demolishing the existing structure, constructing new ramps, and upgrading surrounding roadways, including Centennial Road/Bismarck Expressway. The work will unfold in phases, with major milestones expected to be completed by November 2025.

Construction is scheduled to begin Tuesday, April 1, on Interstate 94 east of Bismarck.  

The project includes reconstruction of the eastbound lanes from the mile marker 162 to 172 and reconstruction of a portion of the eastbound Apple Creek rest area parking lot.
