BISMARCK, N.D. – The northbound lane closure on Bismarck Expressway/Centennial Road, between Miriam Avenue and Trenton Drive, will be removed Friday, May 24. The lane closure will be reinstalled the week of June 3.

BISMARCK, N.D. - In anticipation of the upcoming travel season, the North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) kicked off the 2024 construction season with a news conference today in Bismarck to discuss upcoming projects and work zone safety. This year’s construction season consists of approximately $580 million in projects throughout North Dakota to enhance the state highway system.

Vision Zero Driving Skills for Success (DSFS), an interactive driving program designed to give teens hands-on driving experience, is coming to Minot and Bismarck this summer.  

BISMARCK, N.D. – Beginning Monday, May 20, northbound Bismarck Expressway/Centennial Road will be reduced to one lane from Miriam Avenue to Trenton Drive. All southbound lanes will remain open, but speeds will be reduced in both directions.

BISMARCK, N.D. – Structural steel culverts underneath U.S. Highways 2 and 52 will be replaced with reinforced concrete box culverts on a two-mile stretch of highway northwest of Burlington, N.D., where the highways intersect. The project will begin May 15 and is expected to end in early October.

BISMARCK, N.D. – The North Dakota Department of Transportation will begin reconstruction of the Interstate 94 Exit 161 interchange on May 15. The reconstruction is a multi-year project with a 2026 completion.

BISMARCK, N.D. – The North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) is seeking comments on an amendment to the 2024-2027 State Transportation Improvement Program (STIP) to add a previously unpublished project to 2024.

BISMARCK, N.D. – Improvements to Seventh Street and Ninth Street are scheduled to begin Wednesday, May 1. Projects will include road resurfacing, sidewalk ramp improvements, partial curb and gutter enhancements, and street lighting updates.
