The North Dakota Department of Transportation plans to close a stretch of Interstate 94 to do cable median repair Thursday night.

The closed lane will be the eastbound left (passing) lane beginning approximately one-half mile east of Veterans Boulevard and ending approximately one-half mile west of Veterans Boulevard; between mile markers 347-348.

Law enforcement agencies across North Dakota participated in the Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over enforcement campaign Dec. 12. 2025, through Jan. 31, 2026, to deter motorists from driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs. 

The North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) is seeking comments on an amendment to the 2026-2029 State Transportation Improvement Program (STIP) to add a project in 2026 that was previously unpublished.

Seasonal load restrictions may be implemented on North Dakota state highways as soon as next week due the mild winter and warm weather in the forecast.

BISMARCK, N.D. – Early bird registration for the 2026 North Dakota Transportation Conference ends Monday, Feb. 9.

The annual conference will be held March 10-11 at the Bismarck Event Center and is expected to draw nearly 1,000 transportation professionals from across the state and region.

Attendees who register by Feb. 9 will receive the early bird registration rate. Registration is open to transportation professionals, industry partners and others with an interest in transportation planning, design, construction and operations.
