Duties and Tasks

Prepare materials for board meetings.Notify Secretary of State about all governing board meetings.Register staff for conventions and make lodging arrangements as needed.Set up and print business cards for all staff.Work with the Marketing Coordinator on updating our website.Accounting/BookkeepingAssist in completing basic bookkeeping duties.Complete and maintain fixed asset schedules.Responsible for preparing, reviewing, and revising contracts.Assist in the preparation and filing paperwork for state and federal grants.Assist with working the bank window on an as needed basis including rotating Saturdays. This includes handling transactions and picking up and distributing mail.Handle Medicare Part B claims to include updating yearly rates, posting charges, creating claims, submitting claims and following up with payments and problems.Prepare the daily bank deposits and upkeep monthly spreadsheets for custodial and resident trust accounts. Balance checkbooks and write out checks for change.

Career Description




Primary duty involves answering the department's main telephone lines, transfer calls, and answer basic hunting and fishing related questions.Read, interpret, or explain applicable laws, rules and regulations related to hunting and fishing.Provide a variety of information such as applications and educational materials to individuals who visit the Game and Fish Department.Provide excellent customer service to walk-in customers.Assist with general clerical duties.Use a computer (internet, email, Microsoft Word) in performance of duties.

Minimum Qualifications

Requires a high school diploma or General Equivalency Diploma and one year of office support, clerical or secretarial work experience. Requires working knowledge of general entry-level clerical and administrative functions of an organization, including telephone systems, general office equipment and computers using Microsoft Office.Requires excellent communication skills, and a pleasant and positive attitude to consistently apply common courtesy in working with others.Requires a general knowledge of hunting and fishing.Regular attendance and punctuality are essential to this position.
