Construction is scheduled to begin Thursday, June 8, on North Dakota Highway 5 three miles east of Joliette. Surface repairs such as milling, reclaiming, and paving will be done. The project is expected to be completed by the end of June.

Application of oil and rock chips – known as chip sealing – begins today on N.D. Highway 38 and involves the cities of Hope and Page. The work will take place on N.D. 38 between the junction of N.D. 32 and the city of Page. Chip sealing will preserve and extend the life of the pavement. It is expected to be completed June 23.

The North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) issued the following statement today in response to the announcement that the NDDOT was awarded a $30 million grant through the U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) Project to Improve Efficiency, Connectivity, Equity, and Safety (PIECES) program.
