Minimum Qualifications

To be considered for this opportunity, you must meet the following requirements:Requires six (6) years of work experience in the operation and maintenance of a complex physical plant. The experience must have included substantial responsibilities for preventive and special maintenance of facilities, equipment and grounds, custodial services, onsite review and coordination of contractor projects, interpreting blueprints, building plans and estimating costs. Requires familiarity with building codes, the handling of infectious and hazardous materials and related regulations, or similar duties related to physical plant operations. Two years of the work experience must have included responsibility for scheduling and lead work or supervision of other staff. Up to three years of college-level course work in a related field may be substituted for the required work experience on a year-for-year basis. The incumbent requires a high degree of interpersonal skills and the ability to demonstrate positive interactions with co-workers, customers, suppliers and the public. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Software, must possess a valid ND driver's license and the ability to report within 20 minutes of the complex. This internship will provide quality experience with reading and understanding NDDOT plans and specifications while working on construction projects. As the Highway Materials Coordinator in our Dickinson District, you will be responsible for monitoring the quality of materials used in projects. Federal dollars are tied to the quality, testing and monitoring of the materials used in the State, County and City projects. This position oversees the use of materials in all projects to prevent the loss of federal funds. Supervise District Lab Operations: Ensure district staff is appropriately certified for materials sampling and testing. Conduct materials sampling and testing training for district staff. Monitor testing frequency on state and local projects through frequent conversations with field testing personnel, inspectors, and engineers along with project visits. Complete district IA sampling and testing according to NDDOT, AASHTO, and ASTM procedures. Acquire samples for Materials & Research when required. Coordinate sampling with assistant district engineer. Observe field testers sampling and testing. Interpret Specifications, Field Sampling and Testing Manual, and plans to answer materials sampling and testing questions. Purchase and maintain lab equipment. Coordinate with Materials and Research when necessary. Maintain district lab in a clean, neat, and professional manner. Update and review testing requirements in district's Share Point.Permitting: Administer custodian contracts for rest area and district office. Manage district Adopt a Highway program. Serve as a backup for issuing district permits such as approach, temporary water lines, and utilities. Perform site inspections as necessary. Discuss performance issues with permittees or vendors.Records:Review materials files for project finals. Review Materials Dop Box to make sure all tests are completed and entered for each project. Review other final documents as needed.Roadway Information Management Systems:District RIMS coordinator. Update project data such as culverts and signs upon project completion. Review Milestone for coring dates.Miscellaneous:Perform district coring per schedule in Milestone. Attend Research Advisory Committee meetings and provide input on research studies. Title VI specialist for the District. Document any issues with testing, sampling manual, and spec book and submit to Materials & Research for topics at Coordinator's Meetings. Attend Materials Coordinators and Construction Coordinators annual meetings.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree with a major in construction management, construction engineering, or civil engineering and three years of materials testing; orAssociates degree in civil engineering technology, six years of experience in materials and construction that included three years of materials testing; orTen years of work experience in materials and construction that included six years of materials testing and three years of work experience as a transportation project managerSuccessful completion of the ND Dept of Transportation Bituminous Certification Program or equivalent.ND Class D driver's licenseEmployment of the selected candidate will be contingent on satisfactorily completing the interview process and background check.

The position is responsible for management, supervision, budget, and development of 12 Wildlife Management Areas of approximately 12,000 acres in District VII (Hettinger, Adams, Slope, Bowman, Stark, Billings, Golden Valley, and Dunn Counties) in southwest North Dakota. This consists of Game and Fish property and leased property from the US Army Corps of Engineers. Management includes developing and maintaining tree plantings, grass/forb plantings, food plots, noxious weed control, prescribed burning, fence maintenance, water level management as well as WMA lease agreements, federal aid work plans, and annual management plans. The position will coordinate and respond to wildlife depredation; assist with Game Management Section surveys, management, and research activities. The position will assist Private Lands Section with supervision, implementation and delivery of private land and hunter access components of the Departments Private Lands Initiative; other District and Department duties as assigned; and provide educational services, technical assistance, liaison with State, Federal, private organization partners, as well as contractors and individuals on expertise of wildlife management based on sound biological principles and practices.

Minimum Qualifications

Requires a bachelor's degree in wildlife management, biology, natural or earth science or other related natural resource discipline and four years of professional work experience with a wildlife or natural resource management agency is required. A Master's of Science degree may be substituted for two years of actual work experience.The position requires experience in applying wildlife management concepts, wildlife habitat management practices, habitat requirements for northern Great Plains wildlife species, federal and state agricultural conservation programs and production agriculture. Applicants must have experience providing supervision to professional and support staff. Applicants must have experience in planning, preparation, and administration of detailed budgets. Applicants must have demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to balance different interests.The individual must possess well-developed communication skills, both oral and written, be highly responsible, be well organized and have attention to detail. Must have the ability to work with wildlife management professionals, private landowners, wildlife clubs, the media and the general public. Must be self-motivated and adaptable to a fast-paced work environment. * Conduct field inspections of oil and gas production sites, saltwater disposals, and injection wells to determine if operations comply with current laws, regulations, and policies.* Document all inspections in the field activity database and synchronize database daily.* Contact operators regarding violations of oil and gas laws and rules. Minimum Qualifications

* High School degree or a General Education Diploma (GED).* Must have a valid driver's license; good driving skills; physical mobility, mental alertness and ability to operate a four-wheel drive vehicle in all types of weather conditions to meet travel and inspection duty requirements. * Knowledge working with computers.* Knowledge and experience working with hydraulics, motors, pumps, pressure gauges, operating machinery safely, welding, mechanics, or similar fields.

Preferred Qualifications

* Associates degree with major course work in engineering, mathematics, and/or physical science.* Preference will be given to candidates with oil and gas experience.* Leadership skills, problem solving, self-discipline, time management, a positive attitude and motivated.* Written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people.* Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, and GIS mapping software.* Ability to work in northern plains climate year-round.
