BISMARCK, N.D. – Improvements to Seventh Street and Ninth Street are scheduled to begin Wednesday, May 1. Projects will include road resurfacing, sidewalk ramp improvements, partial curb and gutter enhancements, and street lighting updates.

Preliminary data shows nearly half (48%) of crash fatalities in North Dakota in 2023 were unbelted. To save lives, law enforcement across the state will have extra patrols from May 1 – June 2 for the Click It or Ticket campaign enforcing the state seat belt law. 

Law enforcement agencies across the state participated in the Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over enforcement campaign throughout the month of March to deter motorists from driving impaired.

BISMARCK, N.D. – Construction work will resume on State Street Thursday, April 25, to complete the improvement of ADA ramps and sidewalks. The majority of this project was completed during the 2023 construction season. Crews will also be shaping ditches and laying grass seed where construction caused disruptions last year.

BISMARCK, N.D. – The North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) will host a public input meeting Tuesday, April 30, from 5 to 7 p.m. to discuss proposed improvements to the Interstate 29 and 40th Avenue North interchange.

North Dakota recently enhanced roadside safety by expanding the Move Over Law. The updated law now includes moving over for any stopped motor vehicle with flashing hazard warning signals.
