BISMARCK, N.D. – Improvements to Seventh Street and Ninth Street are scheduled to begin Wednesday, May 1. Projects will include road resurfacing, sidewalk ramp improvements, partial curb and gutter enhancements, and street lighting updates.
Construction will start on Seventh Street between Front Avenue and Bismarck Expressway.
Lane reductions will be implemented, reducing the current four lanes to two. Specific lane closures will vary according to the ongoing work. Access to residents and area businesses including Kirkwood Mall, Target, and Bismarck Event Center will be maintained at all times.
Once the work on the south portion of Seventh Street is completed around late May, the same improvements will be made to both Seventh Street and Ninth Street between Main Avenue and Boulevard Avenue. Both will undergo a reduction to two lanes along this stretch. Improvements are expected to be completed in mid-August.
