About The Project

The Menoken Interchange (I-94 Exit 170) is a key intersection for rural and agricultural traffic traveling along or crossing I-94. Recent inspections have identified deteriorating conditions that require maintenance and repairs on the Menoken Interchange overhead bridge that crosses I-94. Improvements to the bridge include completing a bridge deck overlay, repairing areas of spalling and cracking on the bridge abutments, beams, and curb/railing sections, and improving the asphalt roadway transition onto the bridge. Work activities will be confined to the Menoken Interchange crossroad bridge and bridge approach roadways only.

Traffic that uses the overhead bridge (158th Street Northeast) will be maintained during construction and will not be required to detour. During construction, traffic will be reduced to one lane and will be maintained using flaggers and/or a portable traffic signal system. The driving lane width through the construction zone will be reduced to 11 ft. to accommodate work activities.

This project is expected to be constructed during the 2026 construction season. Please click on the “Project Overview Exhibit” linked below for additional details about the project.
