Culvert replacement on US 2 and 52 northeast of Burlington will cause detour for traffic entering/exiting US 52

BISMARCK, N.D. – Structural steel culverts underneath U.S. Highways 2 and 52 will be replaced with reinforced concrete box culverts on a two-mile stretch of highway northwest of Burlington, N.D., where the highways intersect. The project will begin May 15 and is expected to end in early October.

During the structure replacement, traffic will be head-to-head. After structure replacement is complete, traffic will be reduced to a single lane directed by flaggers so the temporary crossover lanes can be removed. Detour routes will be posted for traffic entering and exiting U.S. 52.
