North Dakota State Statute 39-25 and Administrative Rule 37-13 authorizes the NDDOT to waive the Class D road test for students who successfully complete the required behind-the-wheel and classroom training.
NDDOT may randomly road test students who complete the training at an approved driving school. If discrepancies or concerns are found, the driving school's approval to have the road test waived will be rescinded.
