About The Project
NDDOT will begin the I-94/Red River Structure Repair Project on April 28, 2025, with an anticipated completion date of October 8, 2025. Vital structural improvements will be made to the I-94 bridge that connects Fargo, North Dakota, and Moorhead, Minnesota. The work will be carried out in multiple phases, focusing on enhancing the driving experience, extending the lifespan of the bridge, and improving safety through key upgrades.

Project Updates
Crews are working on the first phases of installing a temporary metering system and asphalt on the westbound (WB) ramp off 8th Street in Moorhead. To minimize traffic impacts, the right lane of WB I-94 will be closed at night. The WB entrance ramp will also be reduced to one lane for the remainder of this phase. This work is designed to alleviate congestion during the ongoing project construction.
