Construction begins June 10 on the Fryburg overpass bridge over I-94 at Exit 36. Construction consists of a bridge deck overlay on Billings County Road 19 bridge which crosses over I-94.
During construction, traffic on I-94 will not be affected. However, CR 19 bridge will be closed to traffic during construction while the ramps remain open.
Motorists can utilize the following alternate routes during construction:
- To CR 19 south, westbound I-94 to Painted Canyon Interchange (Exit 32) then south on Painted Canyon Road then I-94 eastbound to Fryburg Interchange (Exit 36) then south on County Road 19.
- To CR 19 north, eastbound I-94 to Belfield Interchange (Exit 42) then north on US Highway 85 then westbound I-94 to Fryburg Interchange (Exit 36) then north on CR 19.
The project is expected to be completed in August.
The NDDOT would like to remind motorists to slow down, follow traffic control signage and use caution throughout the work zone.
