The following is a list of regional NDDOT Driver License sites. Please note, all business conducted at these sites is by appointment only. No walk-ins are allowed at this time. Appointments are available and can be made online at dot.nd.gov or using our online scheduler, or by calling 1-855-633-6835. Also note that online renewal is available with some limitations for Class D, DM, and Commercial Driver License (CDL) drivers.
With the exception of Bismarck, Minot, Grand Forks, and Fargo, all sites are closed for lunch from 12-1 p.m.

Road Tests
Road tests are conducted in Bismark, Devils Lake, Dickinson, Fargo, Grand Forks, Jamestown, Minot, and Williston. They are conducted by appointment only. Use our handy online scheduling tool to make your appointment, or call 1-855-633-6835.
Knowledge Tests
Knowledge tests require an appointment. It must be scheduled no later than one hour PRIOR to noon if testing at an office that closes for lunch, and no later than one hour prior to closing.
Holiday Schedule Modifications
All sites will be closed on the following holidays:
- New Year's Day (January 1)
- Martin Luther King, Jr. Day (third Monday in January)
- President's Day (third Monday in February)
- Good Friday (Friday preceding Easter Sunday)
- Memorial Day (last Monday in May)
- Independence Day (July 4)
- Labor Day (first Monday in September)
- Veteran's Day (November 11)
- Thanksgiving Day (fourth Thursday in November)
- Christmas Eve (December 24 - offices close at noon)
- Christmas Day (December 25)
If January 1, July 4, November 11, or December 25 fall on a Sunday, the following Monday shall be observed for the holiday, with sites closed that day. If these holidays fall on Saturday, the sites are closed in observance the preceding Friday.
