The Title VI/Nondiscrimination and ADA Program Implementation Plan has recently been approved by US Department of Transportation, Federal Highway Administration.
Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and subsequent laws, related nondiscrimination statutes, rules, and Executive Orders bars discrimination against anyone in the United States because of race, color, national origin, sex, age, disability, limited English proficiency (LEP), or income status.
The North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) will consider every request for reasonable accommodation to provide:
- an accessible meeting facility or other accommodation for people with disabilities,
- language interpretation for people with limited English proficiency (LEP), and
- translations of written material necessary to access NDDOT programs and information.
