New LED stop signs installed at intersection of Hwy 32 and Hwy 17 near Park River, ND


The North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) recently installed stop signs and stop ahead signs with LED lighting at the intersection of ND Highway 32 and ND Highway 17 near Park River, ND. In addition, red reflective tape was added to the stop sign posts and crossroad symbol signs were installed on ND 17 making motorists aware of the upcoming intersection. These changes replace the existing signs and was implemented to enhance safety in the area.


Safety on our roadways is important to the NDDOT and is a combined effort of engineering, enforcement, education and emergency services. The state’s new traffic safety initiative called “Vision Zero” has a primary goal to continually work toward zero motor vehicle fatalities and serious injuries on North Dakota roads.
