BEMIDJI, Minn. – Motorists in East Grand Forks who want to travel across the Highway 2 Kennedy Bridge will be detoured overnight on Aug. 16 while the bridge is shifted back onto a permanent pier.
The bridge will close at 9 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 16 and reopen by 6 a.m. on Thursday morning, Aug. 17. Workers will use jacks to transfer the bridge onto the newly constructed permanent pier.
During the closure, traffic will be detoured to Demers Avenue and South Washington Street.
