As part of the Drivers License Services Optimization program, the North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) will be reducing where drivers license services will be provided. Some part-time drivers license sites will discontinue operation and services will be available at other drivers license locations. The part-time service changes include the following:
The part-time Crosby location will no longer provide services beginning August 1, 2017.
The other part-time sites that will no longer be providing drivers license services beginning September 1, 2017 include: Carrington, Mayville, Carson, Langdon, Lisbon, Wishek, and Rugby.
The Rolla Drivers License location will be changing hours from two days a month to one day a month (1st Wednesday of each month).
This does NOT affect motor vehicle registration and title services provided at the Motor Vehicle branch offices located in Carson, Lisbon and Rugby.
Drivers License services are available in person or online:
Drivers license locations across the state include: Beulah, Bismarck, Bottineau, Bowman, Devils Lake, Dickinson, Fargo, Grafton, Grand Forks, Harvey, Jamestown, Linton, Minot, Oakes, Rolla, Valley City, Wahpeton, Watford City, and Williston.
- Residents can book an appointment for Drivers License services online at Bismarck, Dickinson, Fargo, Grand Forks, Minot and Williston offices through NDDOT’s website at www.dot.nd.gov.
- In addition, an online renewal process will be introduced this year so individuals who choose this option will not need to visit an office every other renewal cycle. More information on this online renewal process will be announced later this summer.
