US Highway 2 eastbound from Minot to Devils Lake is now OPEN and US Highway 2 westbound from Devils Lake to Rugby is now OPEN; Roads still blocked on many highways in northwest and north central North Dakota
A No Travel Advisory is still in effect for Bowbells and surrounding areas and motorists in this area should not travel.
The following roads remained closed/blocked at this time:
ND Highway 256 BLOCKED 4 miles south of Antler
ND Highway 3 BLOCKED 5 miles south Jct. ND 19 near Esmond
ND Highway 3 BLOCKED in multiple locations from the Jct. of Hwy. 19 near Esmond to the Canadian Border
ND Highway 28 BLOCKED 4 miles south of Sherwood
ND Highway 8 BLOCKED 3 miles south of the Canada border
US Highway 52 BLOCKED 2 miles east of Jct 8-Bowbells
US Highway 83 BLOCKED 25 miles north of Minot
US Highway 281 BLOCKED 5 miles south of Jct 52
Motorists are not allowed to travel on a closed road due to life threatening conditions. The road may be impassible or blocked. Motorists who drive past a road closure device may be fined up to $250.
Motorists should slow down and drive according to conditions as there are still many areas in the state with snow drifts blocking roads and areas of low visibility. Poor visibility continues to affect highways in North Dakota. Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions.
