Public Input Meeting to be held on May 16 to discuss Proposed Conversion of Roadways from 2-Lane to 3-Lane with Center Left Turn lanes in the City of Bismarck


A Public Input Meeting will be held from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM on Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at Tom Baker Room, City/County Building, 221 North 5th Street, Bismarck, North Dakota.  The Public Input Meeting will utilize an open house format with a formal presentation at 5:45 PM. The will be broadcast by Dakota Media Access.


The purpose of the Public Input Meeting is to discuss proposed improvements to North Washington Street, Divide Avenue, North 4th Street and North 19th Street.  The project consists of installing new permanent pavement markings to convert the above roadways from a two lane roadway to a three lane roadway with a center left turn lane. Options to be considered are bike lanes, various on street parking configurations and/or removal of parking.  The Public Input Meeting will provide opportunity for public input. Bismarck City Engineering Staff will be present to address all questions.


If unable to attend the Public Input Meeting, written statements or comments must be mailed by May 31, 2018 to Mark Berg, Traffic Engineer, 221 North 5th Street, Bismarck, North Dakota, 58506-5503. Email: mberg@bismarcknd.gov with “Public Input Meeting” in the e-mail subject heading. Comments can be submitted online at www.bismarcknd.gov.


The City of Bismarck will consider every request for reasonable accommodation to provide:
