DBE/OJT Supportive Services

Annually, the North Dakota Department of Transportation receives federal funding to provide technical assistance to companies owned and controlled by minorities, women, and socially and economically disadvantaged individuals with capabilities in the transportation industry. This technical assistance is in the area of DBE certification, bidding, bonding, bookkeeping, loans, contract procurement, etc. In addition, state funds are used to provide counseling services to targeted group on-the-job trainees and to monitor their progress under the program. The department contracts with a consultant to provide this assistance and these services.
